We’re celebrating 25 years of New Belgium Brewing with Fat Tire and Friends! New Belgium is continuing it’s anniversary celebration with five collaborations paying homage to their flagship brew. Fat Tire was dreamed up on a bike ride through Belgium and was brought to life as a home-brew in the late 1980’s. New Belgium co-founders Kim Jordan and Jeff Lebesch finally took the beer commercial in 1991. Since then, the 100% employee-owned company has become the nation’s 4th-largest craft brewery and one of our favorites. New Belgium brewers teamed up with other brewing friends at Allagash Brewing Company (Portland, ME), Avery Brewing (Boulder, Colo.), Firestone Walker (Paso Robles, CA), Hopworks Urban Brewery (Portland, OR) and Rhinegeist Brewery  (Cincinnati, OH) for the “Fat Tire and Friends” project. We are bringing those collaborations to you with a month-long Fat Tire and Friends Takeaway Tuesday series. We’ll be featuring a different brew from the collaboration every Tuesday. Here’s what’s on deck:

  • July 5: New Belgium/Rhinegeist Fat Pale Ale
  • July 12: New Belgium/Hopworks Fat Sour Apple
  • July 19: New Belgium/Firestone Walker Fat Hoppy
  • July 26: New Belgium/Avery Fat While Ale
